Olivia Carr is an advisor, speaker, founder and author with 20+ years of business and leadership experience across enterprise, not-for-profit and entrepreneurship. A former General Manager at Pacific Brands and the founder of Shhh Silk, she now works with organisations, founders and women, with a particular focus on midlife women and work. Olivia is also the creator of The Midlife Truth, an ongoing body of qualitative listening, research and writing exploring women's lived experience of midlife.

Olivia Carr has spent 20+ years building businesses, leading teams and working across entrepreneurship, enterprise and not-for-profit environments.

Her career has included building a national educational entertainment business, working in brand partnerships at the National Breast Cancer Foundation, serving as a General Manager at Pacific Brands and founding Shhh Silk, which she built over eleven years across ecommerce, product, partnerships, wholesale, hospitality and international markets.

Today, Olivia's work brings together commercial experience, leadership, facilitation, speaking and ongoing qualitative inquiry. Her particular focus is midlife women and work, including the gap between menopause policy and women's lived workplace experience, retention and progression of experienced women, and what organisations need to do after awareness.

She is the author of Self-Made and the creator of The Midlife Truth, an ongoing body of witness conversations, research and writing exploring what women are actually living through in the middle of their lives.
